How do I book a party?

Please call 513.888.4445 and speak to one of our Bare 2 Brilliant consultants or email us at bare2brilliant@gmail.com

We do ask that there is $100 minimum total sales booked for a kid’s party, and $150 minimum sales for an adult party.  Pricing is based on each piece and size.  You pay per piece painted.

How long does a party usually take?

Everyone paints at their own pace, and it depends on the details of each piece.  However, we recommend that you allow for 1.5-2.5 hours for an adult party.

Allow 1-1.5 hours for kids parties depending on age group; Ages 2-5 = 30-45 min, Ages 6-8 = 45 min-1 hr, Ages 9-12 = 1-1½  hrs.

What does Bare 2 Brilliant bring?

We provide everything you need for painting your own pottery… bisque, paint, brushes, stamps, stencils, table drop cloths, and even coaching.  For the “art-impaired” we bring idea books, stencils, stamps, and tracing paper (if you want to bring anything specific that is pre-printed to trace) to help you and your friends get creative.

What does the Host need to do?

Pick a date that works best for you and your Bare 2 Brilliant consultant.  You invite as many friends and family as you want.  We can help you create a FB invite or Evite with specific party information, just add us to the invite.

You setup your home or place where you are hosting with tables and chairs for a place for each painter to sit.  We will also need spot to setup the paint/supplies, and pottery to choose from.

* If you need additional tables or chairs, we can also bring some upon request for a $25 rental fee.

What methods of payment do you accept?

You pay after you are done painting at the party.  We prefer cash or check, but do accept all major credit cards.  Most prices range from $15-$35 dependent on size of piece.  We do have smaller items for as little as $6-$10 as well.  Price includes: pottery, paint, glaze, fire, and tax.

Where do you offer pottery painting parties?

We are located in Cincinnati, so we will travel anywhere in the greater Cincinnati/Tri-State area.  In some special cases, we will travel even further–so just ask!  We can bring the party to pretty much any type of facility (even outdoor-weather permitting): houses, businesses, or other local establishments, etc.

What types of pottery painting parties do you offer?

We can really do any type of pottery painting party that you would like, small or large. Here are few types of parties that we offer: birthday parties, wedding and baby showers, ladies’ nights, church events, scout or troop gatherings, after school programs, day care and school art classes, fundraisers, or just because!  The possibilities are endless, so give us a call at 513.888.8445 to discuss your party today!

What should I wear to paint pottery?

You can wear your normal everyday clothing.  All of our paint is water-based, so it easily washes off hands and out of clothing.

Will I make the pottery myself?

Well, not exactly.  You won’t be forming the pottery out of clay.  We will bring unfinished, bare pieces of pottery (AKA bisque) to your party for you to paint.  No two finished painted pieces are exactly the same, so your piece will still definitely be uniquely your own!

What do you mean you are going to “fire” my piece?

After coating your pottery piece with a clear protective glaze, we will let the glaze dry and then place your piece in our kiln.  The kiln is a thermally insulated chamber that will slowly heat up to an extremely high temperature (1,800+ degrees!), and then slowly cool down over several hours.  This heating process (AKA firing) will melt the paint/glaze and fuse it to the body of the piece, ultimately making your piece safe for everyday use.

Is it safe to eat off of my finished pottery piece?

YES! Before firing, we will coat your entire pottery piece with a protective clear glaze.  This food-safe finishing glaze will give your pottery a smooth, glossy texture.  All fired pieces are dishwasher safe, food safe, and can be put in the microwave and oven up to 350 degrees.

How long will it take to get my piece back from being fired?

Turnaround time for firing is usually around a week or two.  However, if you are working with a strict timeline, just let us know and we will try to accommodate your request to the best of our ability.

How do I get my finished pottery pieces back after a party?

Typically, all of the finished pottery pieces will be delivered back to the host’s house for pick-up or distribution by the host.  Of course, other arrangements can be discussed at the party.  We also offer shipping options as well for an additional charge.
